Spacemumy says: Come find the odd mating couple of nearly sentient watermelon seeds making fun of your grandmama's bed

The Spacemummy Uncommon Questions (SUQ)

1. Why the Spacemummy helmet? Am I not already dead?

Good question. It helps retard the growth of mold on my horrific visage. From a scholarly journal that I have since lost: "While an anoxic environment will not destroy mold growth, it will retard or stop it's spread. This might also slow or stop the browning of portions of the mummy if it is due to oxidation or the spread of the mold. A properly designed package can also control humidity within the enclosure, and will protect against infestation."

Packaging is everything for the mummy. If you want to haul your corpse around to the afterlife, you better make some advanced preparations.

2. Where does the Spacemummy have his canoptic urn? (I would like to spit in it, etc.)

The Spacemummy's canoptic urn is secreted in a small polyp of space-time well away from prying eyes and poking fingers. If I told you, you might a. stick your appendage in their ruining my chances to cross the gulf forever, b. tell the moongirls where it is and they'd cook it with orgone and make me into a pool of post-coital smushiness, c. fry my innards in port and serve it to gas giant gormand and something equally inscrutable. The bottom line is that I don't trust you. I love you, but I don't trust you.

3. Can mummies smell?

We have basically one sense that must be adapted through feedback mechanisms to perform many tasks. That is the sense of outrage. However, the truth that beauty provides comes shining through the noise. I navigate using the instinctual capacity to sniff out patterns of these platonic forms in consensual neurospace.

4. What's all this about spiral vectors?

Just as awareness spirals into us, we are meeting the world inversely with our own programming, substrate, so that the world is not actually created by our minds but our consciousness is, wait, let me start over. Consciousness is created by both the perceived world and our own minds, perfectly meshed together. We are fields that detect and create the world. The spiral is created by the time lag of thought and action, perception and processing. It is a cultural crutch that the mind moves along a line of reasoning. But you and I are very aware of this. Circumspection leads to a rhythm of association that allows the will to proceed as it harmonizes themes, guideided infogation. As the koan states, “There is a mountain. There is no mountain. There is a mountain.” The spiral vector trip is not a grand unifier, but it is more like a stitch in the cloth.

5. How does the mummyship work?

The mummyship travels using the angular momentum of temporal automata when confined within the harvests of mistake clusters generating tidal torque. Love along a vortex. That is, "when time gets tight, you can use it." If anyone can figure out what this means, I expect that the mechanism will completely cease to function. “The fastest horse is a whole heap of trouble chasing after you with a shotgun.” See spiral vector.

6. Why don't you make any sense?

I like to operate like one of those skimmer bugs. The surface tension of water is a great place-- there's plenty of vapor over the surface but the density starts and that's the culmination point where you can do some interesting math with your feet just dancing over the void.

7. What is orgone and why are you always blathering on about it?

Wilhelm Reich, a psychoanalysist who worked under Freud and went on to develop his own theories on the nature of consciousness and its pathologies, discovered oscillations in the electric potential of the skin. Reich discovered similar properties governing the expansion (pleasure) and contraction (anxiety) in organisms along the entire spectrum of complexity, along with parallel methods of charge and discharge of the energy. He found that the character of this bio-electricity was significantly different from electromagnetism which tends to travel at the speed of light. He termed this energy orgone which he also found to be in abundance in the Earth's atmosphere and theorized its existence streaming through the space between the Sun and its planets.

see The Function of the Orgasm by Wilhelm Reich for more details.

The ancient Egyptians called this energy sekhem. “This was the incorporeal personification of the life force of man, which lived in heaven with the Akhu, after death.” -Caroline Seawright, “The Ancient Egyptian Concept of the Soul.”

Reich liked to distance himself from the Vitalists who asserted this energy was metaphysical in origin. Obviously, it is of special interest to spacemummies who don't see any such distinctions. Physics might as well be called metaphysics. Or even neurophysics if you ascribe to Robert Anton Wilson's methods of semantic hygiene.

8. What's your secret wish?

Perpetuity. I never believed death is the end. Even when I rejected religion as it was presented to me.

"mememoremee" -James Joyce "Finnegans Wake" which is the real "Idiots Guide to the Afterlife," but try to convince a Joycean scholar of this. Remember me. Me, me, me, more me. The mummy's memetic consciousness. Yes, information, and thus culture, has form. Even if I can't live forever, I want to have had an effect, ripples (spiral vector) through time.

And one more thing, even if you didn't ask. Electric Light Orchestra is the most orgonomic music. Everytime I hear them, I am reminded. We'll be listening to more on the mummyship.

9. Is the Spacemummy the next step in human evolution?

No.
